EM program don't have any TRACKS for students admitted in and after 2018
Following information about TRACKS are meant for students admitted in EM program prior to 2018
Program of Study
(36 to 39 total credit hours)
The five concentration tracks of the program facilitate preparation for passing the examinations for the professional certifications, and include :
- Research and Development
- Design and Manufacturing
- Project/Program Management
- Lean Enterprise Systems
- EMU Graduate Quality Certificate
The Research and Development track is a 36 credit hour program and requires the completion of a research-based formal development project or thesis. The Design and Manufacturing, Project/Program Management, Lean Enterprise Systems and Quality tracks are course work-only, and are 39 credit hour programs.
Research and Development Concentration
(15 credit hours in addition to core requirements)
The R&D track requires completion of 15 credit hours in addition to the core, and has two options,
(a) Thesis or
(b) Development Project, as shown below:

EMU Quality Certificate Concentration
(18 credit hours in addition to core requirements)
The EMU Graduate Quality Certificate track requires separate admission into the graduate quality certificate program, in addition to admission into the Engineering Management master's degree program, and completion of 18 credit hours of quality courses that meet the requirements for the quality certificate.
