Hello, I am Muhammad Sohail Ahmed (Course developer). I have just joined Eastern Michigan University in the Fall of 2008. Before joining Eastern I worked for Wayne State University. I did my Ph.D from Wayne in the area of Industrial Engineering. I also hold BE (Mechanical), MS (Mechanical) and MS (Manufacturing) degrees. I have several years of teaching experience and have taught courses in Engineering Management, Business Information System and Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering. My research interest is in the fields of Business Process Management, Decision Support Systems, PLM, ERP, Product Development, Process Improvement, Online Learning, and Engineering Education. I am firm believer that research and technology should always work to create a better life on earth. While I was a Junior in my BE (Mechanical Engineering) degree I lost my elder brother in a car crash, for his remembrance I worked for five years at Ford Motor Company in the CAE Methodology Department for the development of new Crash analysis software for automotive vehicles. On a personal note, I like to play cricket and love to produce short movies and documentaries.
